LILY COHEN
Lily Cohen’s early training as a dancer and
qualified teacher at Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerasulem led
her to a career in dance. She appeared in the first Israeli production
of "The King and I," where she danced the role of Simon of
Legree in the "Small House of Uncle Thomas" ballet. She danced
and taught extensively in Israel before moving to London for 14 years,
where she danced in the musical theatre, worked as a movement teacher
and choreographer and studied acupuncture, shiatsu, Feldenkrise,
theraputic massage and radiant healing. Lily became fascinated by the
art and discipline of Tai Chi, which uses elements she had loved in her
dance career, combined with relaxation and meditation. She has studied
extensively the Wu style of Tai Chi with Sifu Gary Wragg in London and
Sifu Eddie Wu Kwong Yu, a 5th Generation Master of the Wu
family. She has become a Wu Style Teacher. In Israel, she has her own
school for Wu style Tai Chi and Qigong. Lily travels to New York City
frequently to give intensive Master Classes. She also works with hi-tech
companies developing programs based on her knowledge of Tai Chi to
enhance employee performance levels and health. Lily presents Master
Classes of Tai Chi/ Qigong techniques throughout the world and has a
best-selling video to enable students to continue their work.

TAI CHI CHU’AN
TAI CHI is an ancient discipline, based on the
observations of a Taoist monk in the 12th
Century,
A.D. It is known as the "soft" Martial Art, favoring
non-aggression and yielding. The movements are based mostly on circular
motion and flow at a smooth, even tempo, making for perfect balance as
the weight of the body is shifted from one side to the other, resulting
in a high level of body control. This, in turn, leads to greatly
increased powers of mental concentration. To practice this art you need
nothing more than the floor space of an average room. Tai Chi teaches
how to conserve and increase your energy flow. Instead of being tired at
the end of a session, one has more energy than at the beginning.
Lao Tze, a 4th Century B.C. Chinese
philosopher, put the whole thing in a nutshell:
"Nothing under heaven is softer or more
yielding than water, but when it attacks things that are hard and
resistant, there is not one of them that can prevail. That the yielding
conquers the resistant and the soft conquers the hard is a fact know by
all men, yet utilized by none."

QIGONG
QIGONG is an ancient Chinese energy exercise
that utilizes breathing and visualization. It is excellent for
energizing the body and mind.
